Normal life in Mumbai was severely disrupted on Monday (July 8) as the city grappled with incessant heavy rainfall, leading to widespread waterlogging and traffic disruptions across various parts of the financial capital.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai received over 300 mm of rainfall in a span of six hours from 1 am to 7 am. The heavy downpour inundated low-lying areas, submerging railway tracks and flooding streets, resulting in chaos during the morning rush hour.
Mumbai Local Train Services Affected
