In a significant update for travelers on the Mumbai Central to Ahmedabad route, Western Railway has announced a revision in the timings of Train No. 22961 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express. Western Railway has announced changes to the timings for the Mumbai Central–Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express, effective August 24, 2024. This update was communicated on July 30.
“Passengers are advised to verify the updated timings and adjust their travel plans accordingly” the Western Railway said in an official release.
According to a press release from Shri Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the new schedule is designed to optimise travel times and enhance passenger convenience.
Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express: New schedule
The train will now depart from Mumbai Central at 3:45 PM, ten minutes earlier than the previous schedule of 3:55 PM. At Borivali, the revised schedule has the train arriving at 4:10 PM and departing at 4:13 PM, compared to the previous times of 4:20 PM and 4:23 PM, respectively, as noted by Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway.
The updated itinerary for Vapi shows an arrival at 5:40 PM and a departure at 5:42 PM. In Surat, the train will now arrive at 6:38 PM and depart at 6:43 PM. At Vadodara, the train’s new arrival time will be 8:11 PM with a departure at 8:14 PM. The final destination, Ahmedabad, will see the train arriving at 9:15 PM, ten minutes earlier than the previous arrival time of 9:25 PM.
To summarise, the revised timings for Train No. 22961 are as follows:
- Mumbai Central: Departure at 15:45 (revised from 15:55)
- Borivali: Arrival at 16:10, Departure at 16:13 (revised from 16:20/16:23)
