Addressing the newly inducted central government employees, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Indian Railways will be completely revolutionised by the end of this decade.
Informing that recruitment in the Railway is also taking place today through the Rozgar Mela, PM Modi highlighted that the Railway is the first choice of the common people when it comes to traveling.
Bringing attention to the fact that the Railway in India is undergoing a massive transformation and will see a complete makeover in the next decade, the PM asserted that, “A campaign to reinvent the entire train travel experience was initiated with a focus on modernisation and upgradation of railways.”
40,000 modern Vande Bharat Express-styled train coaches will be prepared and added to normal trains under this year’s Budget, thereby increasing convenience and comfort for passengers, he added.
1 lakh appointments handed out
The Prime Minister distributed over 1 lakh appointment letters to newly inducted recruits via video conferencing today.
These new inductees will serve under various departments of the government of India including the Ministry of Railways in various positions. Notably, the Rozgar Mela was held at 47 locations across India.
Further, he laid the foundation stone of Phase I of the Integrated Complex “Karmayogi Bhavan” in New Delhi, which will promote collaboration and synergy among various pillars of Mission Karmayogi.
