Indian Railways has made significant strides in enhancing passenger convenience during the first quarter of FY 2024–2025, showcasing a remarkable increase in the installation of lifts and escalators across its premises. This initiative aims to improve accessibility for Divyangjan (persons with disabilities) and ensure a more inclusive travel experience.
According to a recent tweet from Indian Railways, the number of lifts installed by June 2024 reached 66, a substantial rise from 27 lifts installed by the same period in FY 2023–2024.
