Good news for Mumbaikars! Indian Railways has decided to introduce 10 more Air Conditioned (AC) local services from next week onwards. These local trains will replace the existing non-AC trains from November 06, 2023 (Monday) in Central Railway’s Mumbai Division. With this, the total number of AC local trains in the Division will increase 66 daily.
Suburban services in the Mumbai Division of Central Railway
The Mumbai Division operates 1810 suburban services on various routes. Out of these 10 services, there will be one in the morning peak and one in the evening peak hours. These AC locals will run from Monday to Saturday and will not run on Sundays and nominated holidays.

- K-50 CSMT Slow local leaving Kalyan at 10:25 hrs and reaching CSMT at 11:54 hrs
- A-27 Ambernath slow local leaving CSMT at 11:58 hrs and reaching Ambernath at 13:44 hrs
- A-42 CSMT Slow local leaving Ambernath at 14:00 hrs and reaching CSMT at 15:47 hrs
- DL-33 Dombivli slow local leaving CSMT at 16:01 hrs and reaching Dombivli at 17:20 hrs
- DDL-2 Parel slow local leaving Dombivli at 17:32 hrs and reaching Parel at 18:38 hrs
- DK-15 Kalyan Slow local leaving Parel at 18:40 hrs and reaching Kalyan at 19:54 hrs
- PK-22 Parel Slow local leaving Kalyan at 20:10 hrs and reaching Parel at 21:25 hrs

Significance of AC local services in Mumbai Division:-
The AC suburban locals have received an overwhelming response from the passengers. This tremendous response to AC locals has been due to the fact that travelling by AC suburban locals is not only fast but also most economical in comparison to other means of air-conditioned transport systems between the suburbs and the city.
