The Ministry of Railways on Monday (April 1) shared a mesmerising clip of Patalpani-Kalakund Heritage Train ride. Patalpani-Kalakund Heritage Train explores the rich tapestry of history and natural beauty in Madhya Pradesh, while promising an enchanting journey through time and landscapes, and offering passengers an unforgettable experience brimming with mirth and cherished memories.

“Patalpani-Kalakund Heritage Train takes you on an unforgettable dreamscape of mirth and memories,” the Railways ministry said in a tweet.

Patalpani–Kalakund Heritage Train

The Patalpani–Kalakund Heritage Train, operated by the Indian Railways, is a metre-gauge passenger train traversing between Patalpani railway station in Mhow and Kalakund in Madhya Pradesh. The train’s route includes halts at Patalpani and Kalakund, with the former being notable for its picturesque Patalpani Waterfall.

Running at an average speed of 6 km/h, the Patalpani–Kalakund Heritage Train covers a distance of 15 km in approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes. Conversely, its counterpart, the 52966/Kalakund–Patalpani Heritage Train, boasts a faster average speed of 16 km/h, completing the same distance in just 56 minutes.
