Indian Railways has revised the timings of Bengaluru-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express train. The Vande Bharat Express between Bengaluru Cantonment and Coimbatore will run with revised timings with effect from March 11. The departure time for the train will be delayed by 2 hours and 25 minutes, while the return journey will commence 40 minutes later. 

These changes have been officially approved by the Railway Board. Train No. 20642 will now depart from Coimbatore at 7:25 AM instead of 5:00 AM, and from Bengaluru Cantonment at 2:20 PM instead of 1:40 PM for its return journey.

Train number 20642 is scheduled to depart from Coimbatore at 7:25 AM instead of 5:00 AM, arriving at Bengaluru Cantonment at 1:50 PM instead of 11:30 AM. The departure timings at other stops will be Tiruppur (8:05 AM), Erode (8:45 AM), Salem (9:35 AM), Dharmapuri (10:53 AM), and Hosur (12:05 PM). 

On the return journey, train number 20641 will depart from Bengaluru Cantonment at 2:20 PM instead of 1:40 PM, reaching Coimbatore at 8:45 PM instead of 8:00 PM. The departure timings at other stops will be Hosur (3:12 PM), Dharmapuri (4:24 PM), Salem (6:00 PM), Erode (6:50 PM), and Tiruppur (7:33 PM).

This semi-high-speed train traveling from Coimbatore to Bengaluru will make stops at Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri, and Hosur. Similarly, the train departing from Bengaluru Cantonment to Coimbatore will also have these stops along the route.

According to multiple media reports, the decision to change the departure time of the Vande Bharat train from Coimbatore was made in response to requests from the local residents. People in Coimbatore have been urging for a change in the departure time because it is challenging for them to leave their homes and reach the railway station by 5 am, the current departure time of the Vande Bharat train.
