The Indian Railways has designated three special trains for pilgrims wishing to travel from Tripura to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh to participate in prayers at the Ram temple. The decision came in response to Tripura’s Chief Minister, Manik Saha, reaching out to Railways Minister Ashwani Vaishnaw, requesting special trains to Ayodhya from Agartala. BJP Yuva Morcha leader Rana Ghosh shared details of the initiative, emphasizing the significance of these special trains.

Tripura- Ayodhya train travel: Date and capacity

The three dedicated trains for Ayodhya will depart from Tripura on January 31, February 21, and February 27, respectively. Each train has the capacity to carry 1,640 passengers from the state. Priority will be given to party leaders and supporters, ensuring a pilgrimage experience for around 5,000 devotees until February 27.

Inclusive Pilgrimage Experience

In a gesture of inclusivity, both party leaders and devotees will have the opportunity to embark on the Ayodhya-bound trains to offer prayers at the Ram temple. Rana Ghosh highlighted the collaboration between party leaders and Ram Bhakts to make the pilgrimage accessible for a significant number of devotees.

Remote Participation and Statewide Observance

The BJP media in-charge, Sunit Sarkar, confirmed that party leaders, including the state president, will digitally witness the historic ceremony. To mark the event, the state has declared a half-holiday in all government offices and educational institutions on January 22, enabling wider public observance.
