The Indian Railways has proved its mettle once again by entering the ‘Limca Book of Records’. This remarkable feat was the result of hosting the largest public-service event across multiple venues. The Railways on February 26, 2024 organized an event that saw 40,19,516 people gather at 2,140 locations, reported ANI.

The event, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was held to inaugurate road overpasses and underpasses, as well as to lay the foundation stones for new railway stations.

This significant accomplishment highlights the extensive efforts and coordination by Indian Railways, earning them a place in the prestigious Limca Book of World Records.

For those unaware, Ashwini Vaishnaw has once again taken charge as the Minister of Railways for the second time under Modi 3.0. He highlighted that the railways remain a vital mode of transport for the common man and a key element of the nation’s economic infrastructure.

In his role, he aims to further modernize and expand India’s railway network, enhancing national connectivity and economic growth.
