In anticipation of the passenger rush and the upcoming festive season, the Eastern Railway has announced a special train between Kolkata and Puri in order to enhance travel experience. 

To handle the increased volume of visitors during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath Puja, the Eastern Railway has responded proactively by adding a special train service that will create an extra 13,000 berths, giving travellers much-needed relief and guaranteeing their easy arrival at their destination.

Special train by Eastern Railway

  1. 03101 Kolkata-Puri Special will leave from Kolkata at 23:50 hrs. o­n every Thursday between October 3, 2024 and November 28, 2024, a total of nine trips, to reach Puri at 09:35 hrs. o­n the next day. 
  2. 03102  Puri-Kolkata Special will leave from Puri at 15:00 hrs. o­n every Friday between October 4, 2024 to November 29, 2024, a total of nine trips, to reach Kolkata at 02:00 hrs. o­n the next day. 

Kolkata-Puri special train stoppages 

Notedly, the train will stop at Andul, Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khurda Road stations in both directions enroute.
