Northern Railway on Monday (August 12) announced that the Vande Bharat train service will include a temporary halt at Aligarh Junction starting August 16. This decision applies to the train operating between Ayodhya Cantt and Anand Vihar Terminal.

Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway, confirmed the trial stoppage. This trial halt is part of Northern Railway’s ongoing efforts to assess and enhance the operational efficiency of its services. 

Revised stations, timings and route

The 22426 Anand Vihar Terminal – Ayodhya Cantt Vande Bharat Express will stop at Aligarh Junction at 7:30 AM, while the 22425 Ayodhya Cantt – Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express will halt there at 9:33 PM. 

“22426 Anand Vihar Terminal – Ayodhya Cantt Vande Bharat Express will halt at Aligarh Junction at 7.30 am while 22425 Ayodhya Cantt. – Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express will halt at Aligarh Junction at 9.33 pm for two minutes in both directions,” Upadhyay informed.

The outcome of this trial will help determine whether the stop at Aligarh Junction will become a permanent feature of the Vande Bharat route.
