Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh has declared that Udhampur railway station will become a major junction. He has also informed that it has been chosen under the Adarsh station scheme and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Udhampur Railway Station selected under Adarsh Station Scheme
As quoted by the ANI, the minister stated, ”Udhampur railway station has been selected under Adarsh station scheme. In the coming years, Udhampur will transform into a major railway junction. The station has been named after Captain Tushar. The renovated Udhampur junction will soon be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The initial train in Jammu and Kashmir arrived in 1972, but the extension of the railway track took more than 50 years. It was only under PM Modi’s guidance that the work was progressed.”
Singh also added that the world’s tallest bridge is in Jammu and is under construction. He further mentioned that there were some issues with the bridge at Reasi, but they have been sorted out and now it is one of the highest bridges worldwide. A train running through the Kashmir Valley will soon be a reality.
Earlier in February 2024, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the 481-km portion of the Udhampur-Srinagar Baramulla Rail Link USBRL project for the people of the region.
The Union Minister has also stressed the fact that the dimensions for the youth are constantly changing and keen interest has been shown by them in the start-up program. They have also set up their ventures. Singh claimed that India would very soon become the third-largest economy.
