The Supreme Court on Monday refused to take up a plea for an urgent hearing on the massive wave of IndiGo flight cancellations and delays. Over 4,500 flights have been cancelled since Tuesday last week, leaving thousands of passengers stuck across the country.
Chief Justice Surya Kant acknowledged the distress but said the court did not see an immediate need to intervene. “We understand that lakhs of people are stranded. Some may have urgent commitments and are unable to travel… but the government has already taken note of the situation. It appears timely steps are being taken. We don’t find any urgency at this stage,” he said.
This is a breaking story. More Information will be added soon…
