The United States has announced new immigration fees from this month, impacting foreign travelers and immigrants.
By September 30, 2025, Customs and Border Protection will introduce an additional $24 fee to the existing $6 fee for Form I-94 Arrival/Departure applications at land border ports of entry, bringing the total cost to $30.
Also, there will be a Visa Integrity Fee applicable to immigrants, starting October 1. The cost of the Visa Integrity Fee has been kept at $250, to be increased each year based on US CPI data.
The US visa fee is set to rise by 148% for non-petition-based visas, including B1/B2 for Business, Tourism, Medical treatment, Visitor Visas, F-1, F2, and student visas, from $185 to $185, including transit visas.
US has introduced certain new immigration fees and also increased existing fees for certain immigration-related actions of foreign travelers and immigrants. The new fees will particularly apply to foreigners arriving at a land border port of entry in 2025.
On August 28, 2025, the Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released a Federal Register Notice (FRN) informing the public of new and revised immigration-related fees.
New US Visa Fees
CBP will require foreigners to pay a new fee to apply for a CBP Form I-94 Arrival/Departure Record, and to enroll in the Electronic Visa Update System. Additionally, the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) fee for authorizations has increased.
Starting October 1, 2025, the immigrants will have to pay fees applicable for the application of CBP Form I-94 Arrival/Departure Record, a higher fee for travel authorizations via the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA), and for enrollment in the Electronic Visa Update System (EVUS).

Currently, the Application for CBP Form I-94 at land border ports of entry costs $6. After September 30, 2025, it will cost $30. The total fee to apply for a CBP Form I-94 at a land border port of entry for FY 2025 is $30, consisting of the $6 land border fee and the HR-1 $24 fee.
CBP issues an electronic Form I-94 Arrival/Departure Record to all arriving foreigners, serving as evidence of their admission or parole terms, typically issued at the time of admission or parole at a U.S. port of entry.
Electronic System for Travel Authorization Fee
