The SAT is a crucial admissions exam for prestigious universities, boosting the chances of securing scholarships. Students who have recently completed 12th grade can use their SAT results as a first step in pursuing international education globally.

In February, Dartmouth College, an Ivy League member, announced that it is reactivating the standardized testing requirement for undergraduate admission starting in the Class of 2029. Similarly, many international universities have shown interest in opting for SAT testing for the admission process.

Currently, SAT registration is open for all students for the entire 2024–25 testing year. Test dates and deadlines apply to all students—U.S. and international—taking the SAT.

Next SAT Test Date is August 24, 2024. The Registration Deadline for August SAT exam is August 9, 2024 while the Deadline for Changes, Regular Cancellation and Late Registration for August SAT is August 13, 2024.

Meenakshi Kachroo Chatta, Senior Director & Regional Head at College Board, says, “The SAT is a crucial stepping stone for students aspiring to study at prestigious universities worldwide. The importance of standardized tests in predicting academic success has led esteemed institutions like Yale, Dartmouth, Harvard, and Stanford to reinstate the SAT score as a requirement for admissions.

With more frequent administrations and over 100 centers in India, the SAT offers increased opportunities for students to achieve their academic goals. The transition to a digital format enhances the testing experience by making it more personalized and student-friendly, reflecting our commitment to prioritizing students’ needs.

The SAT not only opens doors to higher education but also plays a significant role in boosting students’ academic and professional careers.
