Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is changing the way individual applicants submit a request for an Internal Review. Individual applicants must submit their request for Internal Review using the new Internal Review section of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program e-Filing Portal. The requests for internal review by email, mail, fax, or in person will not be accepted.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is Canada’s economic immigration program, partnering with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). It nominates individuals with the necessary skills and experience for permanent residence, with the final decision made by the Government of Canada. The program operates online, and applicants must submit their profiles through the OINP e-Filing Portal.

This online process will apply only to individual applicants and their representatives. Employers must continue to submit their Internal Review requests via email.

Process to File Internal Review

To submit an Internal Review request, individual applicants or their authorized representatives must do the following:

Give written notice of the request to the director by logging in to the OINP e-Filing Portal through your My Ontario account

Complete the online form, which can be found on your profile page, within 30 calendar days after receiving this Notice of Decision.

Carefully follow the instructions provided on the online webpage and ensure that the online Notice of Request is properly completed and the relevant documents uploaded before you submit it.

In the request, indicate the error you identified in the decision or order that, if not made, would have resulted in a different outcome.

Do not include any new information that you did not include in your original application unless that information was not reasonably available to you at the time the decision or order was made. New information that you did not include in your application because of an oversight will not be considered and the decision of the internal reviewer is final.

Starting August 26, 2024, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has modified the manner individual applicants need to submit requests for internal reviews. The status of Internal Review requests can also be checked online through the OINP e-Filing Portal.
