The results of the latest Express Entry draw for the French language proficiency program have been announced. On October 29, IRCC, under the Express Entry system, draw number 376, sent 6,000 invitations to select foreign nationals, with the lowest-ranked candidate receiving a CRS score of 416.
This means the rank required to be invited to apply will be 6,000 or above for the foreigners applying under the latest Express Entry draw for the French language proficiency Program.
The date and time of the latest round was October 29, 2025 at 13:45:39 UTC, while the Tie-breaking rule date was September 8, 2025 at 15:27:09 UTC.
The CRS cut-off score for the Canadian Experience Class has fallen by 16 points since the previous draw held on October 6, where 4,500 invitations were sent.
To be eligible, you must establish your English or French language skills by passing an authorized language test, earning the minimum scores needed for your program, and entering the results in your Express Entry profile to be eligible for Express Entry. Your proficiency levels are evaluated by IRCC using the Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadien (NCLC) for French and the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) for English.
When you create a profile, you need to prove your knowledge of one of Canada’s two official languages: French or English. Choose your strongest language as your first official language so you can increase your chances of earning more points.
You can earn up to 50 additional points for strong French language skills (even if French is your second language).
If you score a niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) level 7 or higher on all four French language skills, you can get 25 additional points if you scored a Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) level 4 or lower in English or if you didn’t take an English test. There are 50 additional points if you scored CLB 5 or higher on all four English skills.
IRCC’s Comprehensive Ranking System tool can tell you what your score might be if you create a profile. This includes how many points you’d get for your language skills.
