Candidates of Masters Graduate stream and PhD Graduate stream who had shown interest in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) have received an invitation to apply. Under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) foreign workers, international students, business owners or entrepreneurs from outside of Canada can apply for permanent residence in Ontario. OINP works in partnership with the Government of Canada through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Foreign workers, international students and others with the right skills, experience and education apply to the OINP for a nomination.

On September 19, 2023, the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development issued invitations to apply to potential candidates in the Expression of Interest system pool who may qualify for the Masters Graduate stream. Candidates only received an invitation if they had a score of 41 and above.

In a separate draw, we issued invitations to apply to potential candidates in the Expression of Interest pool who may qualify under the PhD Graduate stream. Candidates only received an invitation if they had a score of 40 and above.

The OINP recognizes and nominates people for permanent residence who have the skills and experience the Ontario economy needs, and the Government of Canada makes the final decision to approve applications for permanent residence.
