Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil a series of development initiatives valued at over Rs 26,750 crore in Rajasthan and Haryana today. According to an official announcement, Modi will be using video conferencing to inaugurate and lay the groundwork for projects exceeding Rs 17,000 crore in Rajasthan. Additionally, he will deliver a speech at the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Rajasthan’ program.
What projects will PM Modi inaugurate in Rajasthan and Haryana?
After Rajasthan, the Prime Minister will go to Rewari in Haryana, where he will undertake the inauguration and laying of the foundation stone for various development projects valued at over Rs 9,750 crore. These projects encompass domains such as urban transport, healthcare, railways, and tourism.
In Rajasthan, the projects relate to several crucial sectors including roads, railways, solar energy, power transmission, drinking water and petroleum and natural gas.
As per the official statement, various national highway projects worth over Rs 5,000 crore will be inaugurated by PM Modi in Rajasthan besides three stretches of eight-lane Delhi-Mumbai Green field Alignment (NE-4).
These sections will enhance connectivity in the area, offering faster and improved transportation. They have been designed with animal underpasses and overpasses, camouflaged to facilitate the unrestricted movement of wildlife. Additionally, noise barriers have been installed to reduce the impact on wildlife.
In addition to various highway projects, Modi will also unveil and initiate the groundwork for eight railway projects in Rajasthan, collectively valued at approximately Rs 2,300 crore.
He will both inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for significant solar projects valued at around Rs 5,300 crore in the state.
In a bid to bolster the infrastructure to provide clean drinking water in Rajasthan, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of multiple projects worth around Rs 2,400 crore including projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission
“The launch of these development projects in Rajasthan underscores the Prime Minister’s relentless efforts to transform Rajasthan’s infrastructure landscape and create opportunities for growth and development,” the official statement said.
The event will be conducted in approximately 200 locations across all districts of the state, with the main program taking place in Jaipur.
In Rewari, he will initiate the development of the Gurugram metro rail project, with an estimated cost of approximately Rs 5,450 crore. This project, spanning 28.5 km in length, will link Millennium City Centre to Udyog Vihar Phase-5 and integrate with the existing metro network of Rapid Metro Rail Gurugram at Moulsari Avenue station near Cyber City. The initiative is a pivotal step towards realizing Prime Minister Modi’s vision of providing citizens with world-class, environmentally friendly mass rapid urban transport systems.
Besides this, he will also lay the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rewari, which will be built at a cost of about Rs 1,650 crore.
Being developed on 203 acres of land at Majra Mustil Bhalkhi village in Rewari, the institute will have facilities including a hospital complex with 720 beds, a medical college with 100 seats, a nursing college with 60 seats, an AYUSH block with 30 beds, a residential accommodation for faculty and staff, a hostel accommodation for UG and PG students and a night shelter among other facilities. The facilities will include patient care services encompassing 18 specialties and 17 super specialties, including cardiology, gastroenterology, nephrology, urology, neurology, neurosurgery, medical oncology, surgical oncology, endocrinology, and burns and plastic surgery.
Furthermore, Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed ‘Anubhav Kendra Jyotisari’ in Kurukshetra. This experiential museum, built at a cost of approximately Rs 240 crore, spans over 17 acres and comprises over 100,000 square feet of indoor space. It will vividly portray the epic narrative of the Mahabharata and the teachings of the Gita.
