Passenger services at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) metro station have been temporarily suspended following a fire incident near Entry/Exit A4. The fire, which occurred outside the station premises, caused smoke to infiltrate the station, prompting safety precautions.
Authorities have confirmed that the Mumbai Fire Brigade is actively addressing the situation, working to contain and extinguish the fire. Senior officials from the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) and DMRC are present at the site to oversee operations and ensure passenger safety.
As a precautionary measure, metro services at BKC station have been paused until further notice. Commuters are advised to use Bandra Colony station as an alternative boarding and deboarding point during this disruption.
In a statement, metro authorities assured passengers that their safety remains the top priority. “We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue swiftly,” the statement read.
Passengers are requested to follow updates from official channels for real-time information about service restoration. Authorities are committed to resuming normal operations as soon as it is deemed safe.
