The City And Industrial Development Corporation Of Maharashtra Ltd (CIDCO) on Thursday (September 5) announced that the fares for the Belapur-Pendhar metro rail corridor in Navi Mumbai will be reduced by up to 33 per cent starting September 7.
CIDCO Managing Director Vijay Singhal stated that the fare reduction is intended to benefit commuters and encouraged people in Navi Mumbai to take advantage of the improved service.
Belapur-Pendhar metro rail line new fares
Under the revised fare structure, the minimum fare will be Rs 10 and the maximum will be Rs 30. Specifically, fares will be Rs 10 for distances of 0-2 km and 2-4 km, Rs 20 for 4-6 km and 6-8 km, and Rs 30 for distances of 8-10 km and beyond.
Previously, the fare from Belapur Terminal to Pendhar was Rs 40, which has now been reduced to Rs 30, as detailed in a release from the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO).
The Belapur-Pendhar metro line, which connects CBD, Taloja MIDC, and CIDCO’s housing complexes in Kharghar, began operations on November 17 of last year.
