Earlier this month, the Metro Railway Kolkata shared the details of the trial runs on the Kavi Subhash- Hemanta Mukhopadhyay stretch of Orange Line. The trial runs took place on December 15 and saw a Medha AC rake make four round trips at a maximum speed of 90 kmph on both the lines.

In its press release, it said that this 5.4-kilometre stretch of Orange Line is ready for commissioning and that the trial runs are “necessary for the preparation”.
