IRB Infrastructure clocks 32% Q-o-Q growth in toll collection; here’s how much others earned

The IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd. and IRB Infrastructure Trust, respectively, maintained their momentum in the first month of Q2FY25, July 2024, following a strong 32 per cent growth in toll collection in Q1FY25. IRB Infrastructure is a multi-national transport infrastructure developers and private infrastructure investment trust in India.

When compared to the same month in FY24, the company has recorded a 37 per cent year-over-year increase in toll collection in July 2024, the first month of the second quarter of FY25. The company collected Rs 499 crore in toll in July 2024 compared to Rs 365 crore in the same month of corresponding year. 

Talking about the development, Amitabh Murarka, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, IRB Infrastructure Developers, said, “The second quarter has begun positively, with a 37 per cent increase in toll collection compared to the same period last year. New additions to our portfolio are also contributing well. With a normal monsoon forecast, we expect continued strong traction in toll collection going forward.”

As per the data released, IRB MP EXpressway which overlooks Mumbai Pune Expressway and Old Mumbai Pune Highway NH4 collects the maximum toll among all, which is Rs 1,352 million in July 2024, however the collection for the same period in corresponding year stood at Rs 1,349 million. Next in the list is IRB Ahmedabad Vadodara Super Express Tollway, which overlooks Ahmedabad Vadodara Expressway NE1 and Highway NH48. The IRB Ahmedabad Vadodara Super Express Tollway in July 2024 collected Rs 584 million, while in July 2023 it was Rs 537 million. 

While there is an increase in the individual collection however the percentage increase is relatively negligible. For instance, the RB MP EXpressway could increase the collection by Rs 3 million.
