A video of two girls playing holi in Delhi Metro’s coach has gone viral on social media and left the netizens cringing. As the people waited for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to make a statement or take some action on it, the transporter on Saturday (March 23) said that it is analysing the video.

The clip, which is doing rounds on social media platforms, showed two women sitting on the floor inside a coach and applying Holi colour to each others’ cheeks with a Hindi film song playing in the background.

Delhi Metro responds

Delhi Metro in a statement emphasised that DMRC is absolutely not in favour of such reels being made on its premises.

“Prima facie, the authenticity of the shooting of this video inside the metro also seems doubtful as deep fake technology may have been used to create this content,” it said in a statement.

“Through innumerable campaigns and commuter awareness drives we have tried to raise awareness among passengers requesting them not to make reels or indulge in any activity which causes inconvenience to fellow commuters.

“We also request fellow passengers to inform us immediately the moment they see such shoots being conducted,” the DMRC said.

Delhi Metro revises train timings on Holi

Furthermore, on the occasion of Holi, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has also revised its train schedule. “On the day of the ‘Holi festival, i.e. 25th March, 2024 (Monday), Metro services will NOT be available till 2:30 PM on all Lines of the Delhi Metro including Rapid Metro/Airport Express Line.” Delhi Metro  posted on X.

“Metro train services will thus start at 2:30 pm from terminal stations on all Lines on 25th March and will continue normally thereafter,” DMRC said.
