The Yellow line services of the Delhi Metro were reportedly hindered on Thursday due to some signalling issues between Vishwavidyalaya and Kashmere Gate stations. The issue was resolved and train services were resumed normally at 5:15 pm.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) released a statement, “Train services on Yellow Line are regulated today owing to a track circuit drop (signalling) issue between Vishwavidyalaya and Kashmere Gate stations.”
“Due to this, trains are running at restricted speed in this small section, resulting in bunching of trains. Normal train services are available on the rest of the sections of Yellow Line,” it added.
The yellow line of the Delhi metro runs from Samaypur Badli in Delhi to Millennium City Centre in Gurugram in early morning till 11 pm.
The officials also informed the commuters via social media platform, X, saying, “Yellow Line Update, Delay in services between Vishwavidyalaya and Kashmere Gate. Normal service on all other lines.”
