Delhi Metro timings on Holi 2019: Delhi Metro passengers take note! On the occasion of Holi 2019, the festival of colours, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced new metro train timings which will be followed on March 21. As part of Holi celebrations in the national capital, the Delhi Metro train services will not be starting at its usual morning time, but will begin only in the afternoon. This will be observed as part of Delhi Metro’s initiative to allow staff to celebrate the festival of colours with friends and family. The DMRC being the operator of Delhi Metro, has stated in its recent press release, that the timings of Delhi Metro will be different on the day of Holi, than its normal timings on other regular days. The metro train timings which will be observed on Holi, are as follows:
- According to DMRC, on the day of the Holi festival, i.e., on Thursday, March 21, metro services will not be available till 2:30 PM on all lines of Delhi Metro, including the Airport Express Line (Orange Line).
- Delhi Metro train services will begin at 2:30 PM in the afternoon, on all the lines on March 21, and will continue normally thereafter.
- In addition to this, the Delhi metro feeder bus services will also not be available till 2:00 PM on March 21, and thereafter, after 2:00 PM, will run as per the normal schedule.
Delhi Metro has been expanding its network in the last few years, covering various parts of the national capital and providing seamless and affordable connectivity. PM Modi recently flagged off the Noida City Centre-Noida Electronic City extension of the Blue Line, which earlier was from Noida City Centre to Dwarka Sector 21. Now with the extension, the corridor is from Noida Electronic City to Dwarka Sector 21. PM Modi also flagged off the extended section of he Red Line between Dilshad Garden in Dehi to Ne Bus Adda in Ghaziabad. In addition to this, three out six corridors of Delhi Metro Phase-IV had also been approved by the Union Cabinet.
