Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Managing Director Vikas Kumar today launched the Multiple Journey QR Ticket (MJQRT) feature at Metro Bhawan today. The feature was introduced as part of Delhi Metro’s ongoing ‘Ease of Booking’ initiative. This feature will eliminate the need for passengers to purchase daily QR tickets.

Delhi Metro Multiple Journey QR Ticket: Features and benefits

The Multiple Journey QR Ticket is a first-of-its-kind solution being introduced in India. It will be available exclusively in DMRC’s Delhi Metro Sarathi (Momentum 2.0) app, giving passengers a seamless solution to managing their multiple journeys.

Starting tomorrow, the feature will be available for the passengers on the app. Commuters will be able to view their journeys, including payments and recharges. To avail the feature, passengers can start with an initial amount of Rs 150 for metro travel, with no requirement of security deposit.

Users will be able to add values in multiples of Rs 50 through UPI,  credit cards, and debit cards, with a maximum balance limit of Rs. 3,000. The minimum balance required for travel using the feature is Rs 60.

MJQRT provides passengers with a 10% discount during peak hours (8 AM – 12 PM and 5 PM – 9 PM) and a 20% discount during off-peak hours.

If a mobile device is stolen, lost, or damaged, the remaining balance will be preserved, and passengers can continue using MJQRT by logging in on a different device.

The MJQRT is the newest addition to the existing fare media options, which include single-journey QR tickets, NCMC cards, and DMRC smart cards.
