Metro travelers on Tuesday faced inconvenience due to delayed operations on Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has implemented a temporary speed reduction between Chhatarpur and Sultanpur metro stations due to tunnel construction under Phase IV expansion.

Taking to X, DMRC informed that, “A temporary speed restriction of 20 kmph has been imposed between Chhatarpur and Sultanpur on the Yellow Line due to the construction of a tunnel for the Aerocity-Tughlakabad corridor of Phase 4. This may cause slight delays in services.”

The construction of a tunnel for the Aerocity-Tughlakabad corridor (Golden line), is expected to impact train movement in this section for approximately one month, officials mentioned.

As per a senior metro official, construction work for the tunnel is ongoing and currently affects this section, PTI reported. The official added that the construction will impact train movement between Chhatarpur and Sultanpur until April 30, with the possibility of an extension if needed.
