In a bid to enhance connectivity and provide convenience to commuters, the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced that metro services will start at 4:15 AM on Mondays, beginning January 13.

Decision to Benefit Commuters Returning After the Weekend

A BMRCL spokesperson explained that the decision was made to accommodate passengers returning to the city after the weekend. “The revised timings will ensure passengers have access to metro services as soon as they arrive, easing their commute and saving time,” the spokesperson said.

This early start is expected to benefit passengers arriving at key transport hubs such as the City Railway Station and the Kempegowda Bus Stand, improving last-mile connectivity for early-morning travellers.

The spokesperson clarified that this timing change will apply only on Mondays, with metro services operating as per the existing schedule from Tuesday to Sunday, starting at 5:00 AM.
