For the financial year ended 31 March 2022, Zomato recorded a total gross order value of Rs 95 billion, 32 million average monthly active users, added nearly 4 lakh active restaurant partners, and 1.7 lakh active delivery partners. Last month, Zomato’s founder Deepinder Goyal said that the company will soon start instant 10-minute food delivery, Goyal, however, also added that the company will not put any pressure on its delivery partners to deliver food faster but will achieve the target by relying on a dense finishing stations’ network, which will be located in close proximity to high-demand customer neighbourhoods.

Zomato made its stock market debut in July 2021 with a $1.1-billion initial public offering (IPO). On the other hand, Swiggy has also reportedly hired bankers in preparation for a $1-billion IPO.
