Three of the 10 employees who drew the highest salaries in FY23 in both Infosys and Wipro have left the companies. The development comes amid multiple senior executives leaving IT firms to join rivals and peers.

At Infosys, Mohit Joshi (former president), Krishnamurthy Shankar (former group head – human resource) and Nilanjan Roy (outgoing CFO) were among the 10 highest-paid employees in FY23. This was also the case for the three exits at Wipro — Jatin Dalal (former CFO), Satya Easwaran (former India head) and Hari Raja S (former global salesforce practice head).

While Joshi, who is now the CEO of Tech Mahindra, was the highest-paid employee at Infosys last fiscal, with a salary of aroundRupees 57 crore, Shankar and Roy drew aboutRupees 13 crore andRupees 10.6 crore, respectively. While Shankar retired from the company and is now associated with a non-for profit organisation as per his LinkedIn profile, Roy hasn’t revealed his plan after his Infosys stint.

At Wipro, Dalal’s gross remuneration was aboutRupees 8.9 crore in FY23, while Easwaran and Raja’s gross remuneration was aboutRupees 3.6 crore andRupees 3.3 crore, respectively.

Dalal is now CFO at New Jersey-based IT major Cognizant, and is fighting a legal battle with Wipro. Easwaran is now partner, head of India business, at management consulting firm Arthur Da. Little, while Hari Raja joined as partner at Ernst & Young in August 2023.
