No-frills carrier SpiceJet will lease five aircraft that will be inducted in the airline’s fleet during the upcoming winter schedule, the airline’s chairman Ajay Singh told FE.

Three of these aircraft will be rented on wet lease, and the remaining on dry lease.  “We are in discussion with lessors. However, we are yet to decide whether to take Airbus 319/320 or Boeing 737 aircraft,” Singh said.

SpiceJet currently has 35 aircraft in its fleet.
