The Sahara group moved the Supreme Court on Tuesday, seeking relief for its chief Subrata Roy owing to his deteriorating health conditions.

Mentioning the matter before a bench led by Justice TS Thakur, senior advocate Sidharth Luthra informed the court that Roy was suffering from high blood pressure and could also suffer a stroke. The bench said that it would have to constitute a special bench to hear the application and that in the meantime, it could direct Tihar jail to give all necessary treatment to Roy. (ENS)
