Sachin Tendulkar-backed Universal Sportsbiz has raised Rs 8 crore as venture debt from Innoven Capital India, a subsidiary of Temasek Holdings. The company will use fund to accelerate growth plan, invest in brand building through multimedia campaigns. The company was founded in 2012 by Anjana Reddy with Tendulkar’s equity participation. “We will focus on unlocking the potential of celebrity lines business by building enhanced awareness,” said Anjana Reddy, USPL founder.
