Italian fashion brand MAX&CO is set to make its India debut early next year in Mumbai after Reliance Brands on Wednesday said it had entered into a long-term master franchise agreement with its parent Max Mara Fashion Group.
“Through this strategic partnership, Reliance Brands will introduce MAX&CO’s contemporary pieces and a fluid, mix and match approach to Indian consumers,” a joint statement said.
The Mumbai store launch in early 2026 will be followed by a national roll-out in key metros.
“MAX&CO embodies a bold, modern expression of femininity — dynamic, joyful, and individual — a spirit that deeply resonates with the evolving style and confidence of Indian women,” Isha Ambani, ED, Reliance Retail Ventures, said.
Founded in 1986, MAX&CO is distributed online and in over 400 stores worldwide. Reliance Brands, launched in 2007, is a subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures.
Reliance Brands has over 50 tie-ups with national and international brands, the last being with British designer Stella McCartney to bring her label to India, which was announced earlier this month. The company operates over 1,590 stores across the country including standalone stores and shop-in-shops.
