Foraying into the telecom sector, IT engineering services major Quest Global has hired Sanjay Krishnaa, former senior vice president and head, telecom vertical, Cyient, as the business head for the new vertical.

Aimed at diversification, this strategic expansion into the telecom sector will equip the company to better serve customers handling the transformative challenges of 5G technology, IoT (internet of things), big data, network security, SDN/NFV (software defined networking / network function virtualisation) and cloud computing.

As per the company, the telecom industry currently has a market size of over $2.8 trillion and is expected to touch $3.4 trillion by 2025.
