Senior executives of IT firms like outgoing CFO of Infosys, Nilanjan Roy, former CFO of Wipro, Jatin Dalal, former executive vice president and head, HR, Infosys, Richard Lobo saw their gross remuneration almost double in the last three fiscals.

Roy, who resigned from Infosys last month and hasn’t revealed his future plan, earned around Rs 5.1 crore, which jumped to Rs 10.6 crore from FY20 to FY23. Similarly, Dalal, who is now defending a suit from Wipro, saw his remuneration going up from Rs 4.4 crore to Rs 8.9 crore during the same period. Lobo, who joined Tech Mahindra as its chief people officer this month, drew about Rs 2.5 crore in FY20, which increased to Rs 4.9 crore in FY23.

Narsimha Rao Mannepalli, EVP and co-head of Delivery, Infosys, resigned last year and is reportedly joining Cognizant. His remuneration grew from Rs 3.4 crore to Rs 6.6 crore.

Gopalkrishnan Konnanath, former senior vice president and global head – engineering services and blockchain, Infosys, who joined Cybage Software as its president last year – also saw his salary jump from Rs 1.5 crore to Rs 2.9 crore in the same period.

Hari Raja S, former global salesforce practice head at Wipro, who joined as partner at Ernst & Young in August 2023, saw his salary grow by 65% from Rs 2 crore to Rs 3.3 crore in two years and become one of the top 10 employees in terms of salary drawn in FY23.

Even notable executives who were promoted recently, like Jayesh Sanghrajka as the CFO of Infosys, Aparna Iyer, CFO, Wipro and Shaji Mathew as executive VP and group head, human resources, Infosys, saw jump in their remuneration — doubling or trebling.

Sanghrajka saw his remuneration more than double from `3.3 crore to `8.5 crore in the same period. Iyer’s remuneration grew from `1.1 crore in FY20 to more than `2 crore in FY23. Mathew, whose remuneration was Rs 2.2 crore in FY20, drew more than `4 crore in FY23.

While Infosys had more than 120 senior employees posted in India who earned more than Rs 1.02 crore per annum in FY23, the number for Wipro was around 65.
