Gautam Adani said that no one from the Group has been charged with conspiring to obstruct justice. He was referring to the alleged bribery charges by US Justice while addressing the Adani Group‘s Annual General Meeting. The Chairman of the Adani Group stated, “Despite all the noise, the facts are that no one from the Adani Group has been charged with violating the FCPA or conspiring to obstruct justice.”
Adani Green Energy has faced scrutiny from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over potential violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). The DOJ alleges that the Group operated a $250–265 million bribery scheme between 2020 and 2024, paying Indian government officials to secure large solar energy contracts.
He stressed that the Group is cooperating fully with legal processes and reaffirmed that its governance and compliance practices are of global standards and are “non-negotiable.”
Adani launches India’s first hydrogen-powered mining truck
Highlighting the group’s foray into new energy, Gautam Adani pointed out that the Group’s defence arm played a significant role in national security, contributing drone and anti-drone systems under “Operation Sindoor“. The group is also investing in massive renewable-powered data centre campuses to meet India’s growing digital demands.
In natural resources, the group produced a record 47 million tonnes of coal and iron ore and introduced India’s first hydrogen-powered mining truck.
Adani to launch Navi Mumbai Airport, aims for 35 per cent share in passenger traffic
Adani Ports handled a record 450 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo in FY25. The chairman said that the group is also supporting the Gati Shakti Mission by creating a comprehensive transport utility that includes marine services, trucking, and warehousing.
The Group’s airports business had its best year ever, handling 94 million passengers in FY25. The upcoming greenfield Navi Mumbai International Airport, set to be launched later this year, has already seen its first test flight. The company is targeting a 35 per cent share of India’s airport passenger traffic reaching the capacity of 90 million passengers annually. The airport will initially launch with a passenger capacity of 20 million.
Adani Group plans massive capital expenditure
Looking ahead, the group expects to invest $15–20 billion annually over the next five years. “These are not just investments in our Group, but investments in building India’s infrastructure,” Adani said.
Adani Group reports strong performance in FY25
He went on to highlight that despite facing international scrutiny, the Adani Group has reported record-breaking performance in FY25. “Even in a year of turbulence, we saw record-breaking revenue, unprecedented growth and historic profitability,” Adani said.
The group’s consolidated revenue grew 7 per cent to ₹2,71,664 crore, while EBITDA rose 8.2 per cent to ₹89,806 crore. Its net debt-to-EBITDA ratio remained healthy at 2.6 times.
Adani Group: Major business milestones
Across its various sectors, the Adani Group achieved significant milestones. The chairman highlighted that Adani Power is on track to reach a generation capacity of 31 GW by 2030 and has already surpassed 100 billion units of electricity generation.
Adani Green Energy on the other hand is building the world’s largest renewable energy park in Khavda, Gujarat. The company is targeting 50 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 and, when combined with its thermal and hydro capacities, aims to achieve a total capacity of 100 GW.
Adani Energy Solutions has secured transmission orders worth Rs 44,000 crore and is executing smart metering projects valued at Rs 13,600 crore. Meanwhile, Adani New Industries is setting up a 10 GW integrated solar module manufacturing facility, aligned with India’s green transition goals.
Adani Group crosses 100 MTPA in cement
In the cement sector, the Gautam Adani-led company has already achieved 72 per cent of its target to double capacity to 140 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) by FY27-28. The group has now crossed 100 MTPA.
Adani Total Gas now serves 1 million piped natural gas (PNG) customers and operates 3,400 EV charging stations across 22 states.
