1.The Job
I love the challenges of the brand and the design, and I love interacting with our craftsmen to figure out how the best bag can be made. Mentoring eager smart young people that have just joined us, is a task that I really enjoy. The downside of my job is the endless reviews, number analysis and having to constantly check on operations.
2.The Weekdays
I begin my day with stretches, meditation and listening to music while exercising. Then, I have a nice breakfast of Auroville bakery bread with a glass of freshly squeezed juice and after that I reach work by 9am. During a work day, my greatest pleasure would be if I could get some quiet time when I can think of design, but that’s usually only twice a week. The rest of the time goes in reviews and meetings. Being in a small town like Pondicherry in the old French quarter which overlooks the sea has its advantages though; when things get rough, a short walk along the beach makes it a little better.
3. The weekend
On the weekend, I look to spend quiet time at my house in Auroville, which is in the middle of the forest. Walks in the forest with the dogs and a quiet lunch at a restaurant with my family help me relax. Sometimes I spend the day at the beach and indulge in body surfing.
4. The Toys
The only toy that I love is my iPad; it holds all my books. I also use it to read my favourite newspapers and some fashion magazines
5. The Logos
In jeans I like to wear Diesel and True Religion. My 1977 model Bullet motorcycle is something I treasure.
