Energy Efficiency Services (EESL), a Ministry of Power undertaking, has partnered with Telangana-based Padma Vadthya to expand the reach of energy efficient solutions in the state. This collaboration aims to establish retail franchises that enhance accessibility to energy-efficient technologies, supporting India’s climate goals by conserving energy and reducing carbon emissions.
Vadhya Padma, an entrepreneur from Telangana and leader of a Self-Help Group (SHG), oversees a team of 50-100 women who assist in maintaining Hyderabad’s lighting infrastructure. Her company, Padma Vadthya, marks a pioneering partnership with EESL, underscoring EESL’s commitment to women’s empowerment and fostering socio-economic inclusivity.
EESL offers a diverse array of energy efficient solutions spanning lighting, appliances and building optimization, aimed at enhancing energy usage across multiple sectors.
