Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) is looking to monetise 7.5 acre prime land in Lucknow by selling plots to successful bidders through the e-auction route.
The reserve price for the bids has been set at Rs 226 crore, which is the minimum bid price that a bidder can quote for the purchase of the property.
BSNL currently owns a land parcel measuring 8.166 acre at Telecom Compound, Vibhuti Khand, in Lucknow. The land parcel has been bifurcated into two parts, where a telephone exchange and a customer service centre are set up across 0.63 acre. The remaining 7.53 acre is vacant, for which the request for proposal has been floated.
The National Land Monetisation Corporation (NLMC), the government agency set up to carry out the monetisation of non-core assets of CPSEs, has appointed CBRE South Asia to represent BSNL to identify the successful bidder for the said property.
Only a person, company, LLP/partnerships, society/trusts, and funds such as private equity funds, which are legally competent to enter into a contract, are eligible to bid. The bidders have to upload the requisite documents during February 15-22.
The e-auction date will be conveyed after the opening of technical bids.
BSNL’s land monetisation is part of the National Monetisation Pipeline under which BSNL and MTNL have to monetise their tower business and other assets.
