Bath & Body Works, the US-based body-care brand, is in advanced stages of talks with Major Brands to enter the Indian market. Major Brands is an umbrella organisation of brands like Mango, bebe, Charles & Keith, Guess and Nine West.

Bath & Body Work was established in 1990 and is under L Brands. The brand is known for body lotions, shower gels and fragrances.

Sources say talks between the two companies are in an advanced stage and they may sign the deal soon.

A e-mail sent to Major Brands remained unanswered.

Major Brands reported a total income of Rs 415.1 crore in FY14, a rise of 10% y-o-y. Profit after tax stood at Rs 4 crore, up 87% y-o-y, according to the registrar of companies.

Some of Bath & Body Works products are already available in India on major e-commerce websites like Snapdeal, Flipkart, Jabong and Amazon.
