The recently announced commercial long distance direct connection between New Delhi and San Francisco from 2nd of December 2015 is predicted to further strengthen ties between India and USA both in terms of business and leisure travel.  Ashwani Lohani, the recently appointed CMD of Air India, also known for his track record as a ‘turnaround specialist’ is all set to address the media on 1st October highlighting the complete shift of Air India to T2 in Mumbai and on the future connection between New Delhi and San Francisco. Accordingly to industry sources,   the focus for the briefing would be primarily on the total shift of Air India operations from the domestic terminal to T2 and the advantages associated with the same. He also seems upbeat about the longest commercial connection scheduled to be operational in December
2015 .
Speaking on the future direct airline link  between India and the USA, Sheema Vohra, Managing Director, Sartha Global Marketing and MD for Brand USA India said that, “We are extremely excited about  the announcement of the new non stop service to San Francisco by Air India . This  additional airline  lift will be very good for India’s travellingp  to San Francisco and the west coast.  Besides  also expanding  the travel for MICE  and will augment tourism overall.”
