1. The job
Being in a start-up provides me with a fantastic opportunity to work on varied functions of the business and see the impact of my actions on both customers and employees. While I enjoy working in such a fast paced environment, this does result in having very little personal time. We work six days a week, so the shorter weekend is the only negative of working in a start-up.
2. The weekdays
I try to wrap up work which requires my individual attention before 11am. My colleagues come by 11am so a very brief ‘standup catchup’ helps in ensuring everyone is focussing on the most important task at hand. Since we are growing rapidly, a lot of my time is spent in hiring the right ‘Petoo’ and pushing the team to achieve more.
3. The weekend
I am an avid reader and try to finish two books a month. So the weekend is my time to relax on a couch and catch up on my reading. I also play the violin over the weekend.
4. The toys
I am not a gadget freak and the only device I cannot stay without is my Kindle.
5. The logos
I like to wear Levi’s jeans and t-shirts with Red Tape sneakers. Otherwise, it is Louis Philippe trousers and shirts with Hush Puppies shoes.
