FMCG firm Adani Wilmar on Friday announced the appointment of Shrikant Kanhere as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Dy. CEO) with immediate effect. Based in Ahmedabad, Kanhere will assume the role in addition to his current profile as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company. 

He joined Adani Wilmar in 2013 as the CFO and brings over 25 years of experience spanning across consulting, manufacturing, services and the FMCG sector. Before his tenure at AWL, he was associated with Reliance Industries and Vodafone Digilink.

Shrikant Kanhere and Saumin Sheth, COO will work closely with MD & CEO Angshu Mallick to manage the overall operations of the company. Shrikant Kanhere will be mainly responsible for business development, investor relations and financial management while Saumin Sheth will continue to lead sourcing of raw materials, trading and manufacturing operations.

The Board of Directors believe that this new arrangement will enable Adani Wilmar to strengthen its management for the next phase of growth.

Earlier in October, Adani Wilmar released its fiscal second quarter earnings report with profit at Rs 311.02 crore in comparison to a loss of Rs 130.73 crore reported during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 14,460.45 crore, up 17.9 per cent as against Rs 12,267.15 crore during the same period of previous financial year. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 566 crore.
