YouTube, a video-streaming social platform, released new community guidelines relating to the disclosure of artificial intelligence (AI) used in content, stated Cointelegraph.
With insights from a blog posted on November 14, 2023, the updates will have creators on its platform inform their viewers if the content that is being shown is “synthetic”.
“We’ll require creators to disclose when they’ve created altered or synthetic content that is realistic, including using AI tools,” Cointelegraph added.
YouTube mentions that it will work with creators to help its community understand the new guidelines. Furthermore, it mentioned that for people who will not abide by the rules, their content is subject to removal, “suspension from the YouTube Partner Program, or other penalties,” Cointelegraph concluded.
