Seetha Mahalaxmi Healthcare (SML) plans to launch the beta version of Hanooman next month. Hanooman is a homegrown generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) platform developed by SML and 3AI Holdings. It went live on May 10 and is available in 98 global languages, including 12 Indian languages.

The company will introduce several new features, including multimodal capabilities, real-time information, text-to-image, and voice activation, in the next 60-90 days. “In the next 60 days, you will see drastic changes in the technology. There will be multimodal facilities coming in. We don’t want to give the date. We have many options, which will have real-time information, which we’ve done through a proprietary algorithm inside the technology. We will have text-to-image facilities,” Arjun Prasad, managing director of 3AI Holdings, told FE.

“We are thrilled by the response Hanooman has received so far,” said Vishnu Vardhan, founder of SML India. “It’s been over a week, and the feedback is hugely positive, indicating that India is now on the global AI map through Hanooman.”

Hanooman has been successfully implemented in various sectors, including government and education. For instance, it has helped automate the processing of around 2.5 million grievances for 100,000 government employees, earning international acclaim and a best practice award at a Commonwealth conference, Vardhan said.

“Approximately 230 startups have approached us with various use cases, showing the kind of interest and potential Hanooman has,” added Vardhan. “We aim to transform sectors like education, banking, and customer relations with Hanooman.”

On the security front, Hanooman is robust, with data hosted on Indian servers for critical applications, Prasad said. “Our node-based architecture ensures top-tier data protection,” Prasad stated. This architecture keeps data within Indian borders, crucial for sectors like banking and defense, he added.

As Hanooman continues to develop, the team has noted the platform’s success in handling regional nuances. “One CEO remarked that Hanooman even outperformed other AI in understanding rustic Punjabi, which showcases our hyper-localisation efforts,” said Vardhan. SML India is not rushing to monetise Hanooman. “Our primary goal is to perfect the technology and increase user adoption. Monetisation will follow once we are confident in our product,” Vardhan said.
