India’s prowess in global leadership and the successful hosting of the G20 Summit were at display during the 75th Republic Day parade as the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) tableau showcased the nation’s achievements and vision. The tableau, rolling down the Kartavya Path, became a symbol of India’s commitment to addressing international challenges with ambition, decisiveness, inclusivity, and tangible actions.

The tableau’s front prominently featured the Nalanda Maha Vihara adorned with the G20 Logo, representing the successful conclusion of India’s G20 presidency last year. The accompanying trailer highlighted key achievements aligned with the presidency’s priorities, emphasizing India’s significant decision to grant full membership to the African Union. This diplomatic milestone was creatively depicted through joined hands in the “Namaste mudra,” with one hand bearing the Indian flag and the other the African Union flag.

Women-led development

The tableau went on to underscore India’s dedication to women-led development globally. The sides of the float showcased India’s accomplishments in digital public infrastructure and eco-conscious development, spotlighting millets as a superfood symbolized by the “Queen of Millets.” The tableau culminated with a depiction of the Bharat Mandapam, symbolizing the conclusion of the G-20 presidency with the leaders’ summit and the unanimous adoption of the New Delhi Declaration.

The MEA’s tableau served as a powerful representation of India’s global influence, collaborative spirit, and commitment to fostering positive change on the international stage. The display also echoed the nation’s determination to play a pivotal role in addressing shared challenges and advancing collective well-being.
