Competing for an investment of up to one million euros, top five startups heading to the finals of the Latitude59 Pitch are from different sectors including health, well-being, and deep tech. The finalists are GaltTec, AskToSell, Migrevention, Siffi, and GeoBeholder and the winner will be announced later this week in Tallinn, Estonia, during Latitude59 2024.
About the Selection Process
The selection process was fiercely competitive, starting with a record-breaking 526 applicants from 53 countries. After rigorous evaluation and intense semifinal rounds, only ten startups advanced, and now the final five are set to present their pitches on the grand stage.
“These companies are a blend of developing impactful technologies and showing strong signs for future revenue growth,” notes Samela Kivilo, Senior Associate at Specialist VC, reflecting on the finalists’ journey.
Triin Ilves, Head of Startup Relations at Latitude59, expressed pride in this year’s lineup: “Latitude59 stands for impact, resilience, and diversity. I don’t know if it’s coincidental or not, but our top five founders represent all three above mentioned qualities. Their unique point of view adds a lot to the Nordic startup ecosystem and I am glad to see them grow together with Latitude59. We’ve come a long way from first evaluating over 500 applications to now going through the due diligence process with the top five. I truly hope that their early potential is noticed by the investors.”
