India, Israel, the UAE, and the United States have come together to unveil an innovative platform, a website designed to empower young entrepreneurs and private enterprises. The purpose of this website is to invite and encourage private companies to present their business proposals, seeking support from this unique inter-governmental coalition.
This exciting announcement was made on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, with key figures such as Jose Fernandez, the US Undersecretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment, Dammu Ravi, Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs, Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, UAE Minister of State, and Ronen Levi, Israeli Foreign Ministry director, leading the way.
The I2U2 partnership, established just a year ago, stands as a testament to these nations’ commitment to fostering collaboration in critical areas such as food security, water resources, energy, transportation, space exploration, healthcare, and cutting-edge technology. It not only serves as a symbol of unity but also as a strategic move by the United States to curtail China’s growing influence in the Middle East and Asia. For Israel, this forum serves as a vital tool in countering Iran’s influence while simultaneously reinforcing the Abraham Accords.
Secretary Dammu Ravi expressed, “This website will create a space for businesses to come together, collaborate, and embark on long-lasting projects and partnerships across the globe.” It signifies a concrete step towards mobilizing private sector resources and expertise to modernize infrastructure, reduce carbon footprints in industries, enhance public health, and drive the development of sustainable technologies, as highlighted by UAE Minister of State Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh.
In addition to this remarkable initiative, Fernandez from the US also unveiled the I2U2 Private Enterprise Partnership, a dynamic collaboration involving the US Department of State, the US-UAE Business Council, the UAE-India Business Council, and the UAE-Israel Business Council. This partnership aims to raise awareness about the I2U2 initiative within business communities and actively support projects that align with the overarching goals of I2U2.
Representatives from these three influential business councils participated virtually and formalized this partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding. Through this website, private companies now have the opportunity to submit their business proposals to gain support from this inter-governmental forum, promising exciting prospects for innovation and collaboration.
